UFOs and the emerging new humanity

If you started out chasing UFOs you’ve probably found out by now that they have ended up chasing you. Like the proverbial tiger who’s tail you once grabbed, now you daren’t let go of it in case it bites you. And for those who answer the call of this phenomenon, like myself, you may now find it difficult to walk away from it and let someone else figure it all out. So what is really going on here?

In my quest for this answer I found myself listening to Dr Leo Sprinkle in an interview on the lauralee.com web site, who stated that “sightings and encounters act as a reminder of who we are at a soul level and our purpose in this lifetime.” Dr Sprinkle refers to what he calls PACT - Personal Past Events, Abduction, Contact, Training and Service. Once we enter through the “UFO gate” we take up the call to take notice of things that others won’t look at and in doing so becoming of service to humanity. Something, maybe once dormant within us, now becomes activated and it won’t turn off causing us to journey towards some destination as yet unknown to us yet we have a strong intuitive response that tells us we need to go there.

Following the response to this “calling”, Dr Sprinkle referred to the emergence of changed people, referred to as “cultural creatives”. These people are part of an emerging, pervasive movement whose new worldview is deeply affecting not only individual lives but our larger society as well. These cultural creatives emerge from the transformational experience of UFO sightings and close encounters. Studies have been done on the American public that show there is a subculture that has been growing over the last 40 years and quietly revolutionizing the western world. These people care deeply about ecology, saving the planet, about relationships, peace, social justice, self actualization, spirituality and self expression. They are both inner-directed and socially concerned. Is it not timely then that they appear today when our civilization is in the throes of an epochal change, caught between globalization, accelerating technologies and a deteriorating planetary ecology.

In the new book by Paul Ray and Sherry Ruth Anderson entitled Cultural Creatives: How 50 Million People Are Changing The World, the authors state that “cultural creatives are taking on a whole new worldview…pointing to a major development in our civilization. Changing a worldview literally means changing what you think is real….the evidence says that we are entering a period that will require transformation and fundamental structural changes in how we live and work, how we think about ourselves, and how we conduct our politics, economics, and technologies. If we can go through those changes well, or well enough, humanity will be able to live on this planet without destroying the environment, and our children's children will have a future worth living. Cultural Creatives are at the leading edge of some of the most interesting developments in American culture. When they look at modern life with their distinct perspective, they see an antique system that is noisily, chaotically shaking itself to pieces. They want a cultural 'new deal', a chance to remake their lives and our institutions around deeper values. By doing so, they may be developing a culture that will sustain us and our children's children over the long term."

Sprinkle, Ray and Anderson are not the only ones who have identified the emergence of this new human. Dr Ken Ring, author of Heading Towards Omega and the Omega Project has also conducted studies of people who have had close encounters with aliens and near death experiences. These studies showed that these experiences left a definite after-effect on these individuals which changed their worldview more towards the “cultural creative” signpost set down by Ray and Anderson. He called them the Omega Prototypes, or “new humans”. Cultural creatives have also been referred to as “homo noeticus” by Carolyn Myss author of Anatomy of the Spirit, and the “aquarian conspirators” by Marilyn Ferguson, author of the Aquarian Conspiracy.

In her book entitled On Waking Up, Marian Coe Brezic describes them as “a bunch of practicing grassroots mystics” who have mortgages to meet and bosses to please and likely a mate who wonders what they are into….meanwhile and nevertheless they’re delving into the ancient wisdoms rediscovered and now shared… the kind of ideas you don’t or can’t explain at the breakfast table…there is a strong sense of family and rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof”.

Although conspiracy theorists would have us think otherwise, wherever we look, a new humanity with a vastly enlarged concept of human potential is emerging, and it is showing up in the UFO field too. You may already recognize yourself as belonging to this new movement that is very much needed at this time, by your willingness to not only entertain but actively seek out a more holistic view of life. This new view encompasses the notion that we are always on a journey of discovery about ourselves and the universe rather than the old idea of knowing everything and discarding what doesn’t fit into what we know.
