Our Future With Avatar?
Happy New
Year Earthlings! Welcome to 2010. Can you believe that one
tenth of the 21st century has already passed? It’s certainly
zipped by in a cosmic flash. One can only wonder what
developments we’ll see in the next decade. Technological
innovations are evolving so fast these days that we’re
likely to see as many developments in the next 15 years as
there have been over the past century. Makes the mind
boggle, doesn’t it?
Something
else that might have made your mind boggle recently is the
new Avatar movie. What an artistically beautiful film and
one that right up presented us with the possibility of
transferring human consciousness to a genetically engineered
body that was faster, stronger and well…..bigger, than what
we currently have.
Genetic
engineering allows us to bypass the mechanics of time and
speed up our evolutionary response to emerging needs. So it
would be unimaginable to think that a technologically
advanced species would not push the boundaries of their own
evolution and refrain from engineering themselves to cope
better with stellar travel, living permanently in space or
to live on a planet they didn’t naturally evolve on.
On the flip
side of that thought, as in the Avatar movie, perhaps a
human body may be genetically engineered to host an ET
consciousness that walks among us while observing, studying
or even taking on a human lifestyle for some years. While
they’re at it they might even fall in love with a human a-la
the Elizabeth Klarer story (see http://www.galacticdiplomacy.com/Klarer-home.htm)
and just as the marine, Jake Sully, did in Avatar.
Creating
bodies for downloading of consciousness was mentioned in the
book by Michel Desmarquet, Abduction to the 9th Planet,
where Michel was shown various ET engineered human bodies
held in stasis. These bodies were of the sages who had
walked among us here on Earth, making significant
contributions to humanity. As such, their bodies were kept
in reverence to their service. (I always suspected Jesus was
an ET!)
With the help
of technology humans can already control external devices by
thought, thus creating and designing kinetic abilities much
like those that Uri Geller demonstrates by bending utensils,
making watches stop etc. The following BBC Horizon

Given that
these experiments began in the 60s and the info is being
publicly disseminated some decades later, one can only
wonder where we really are in our techno-paranornal
development behind the scenes.
But back to
the idea of transferring consciousness to genetically
engineered bodies....the concern here is, as you will see in
the documentary, that scientists and futurists are split
between those who welcome this technological advancement and
those who don't. Martin and I recently watched the movie The
6th Day again with Arnold Schwarzenegger and as you might
remember the movie was about cloning. Of course in the movie
the nasty people were cloned over and over so it seemed you
could never get rid of the buggers! However, imagine if this
technology existed (and who says it already doesn't) and
evil people could truly never be wiped out?
Or what about
the effects of cloning on our experience of life and death?
Would life and death have so much meaning for us if we could
have our consciousness transferred into another body within
2 hours of our death? How would that change our reverence
for life? Certainly our perspective of time would change.
And what about giving birth to another human being? If we
were cloned would we ever really be able to understand the
indescribable emotions of unconditional love a parent feels
for a child? If we lose that model could we ever understand
those feelings or how we might apply them to others?
Starting to sound familiar? Just like some of the
descriptions of the greys given by abductees isn’t it?
Technology is
amazing and I for one appreciate our advancements, but
sometimes you have to ponder about all the wondrous things
that get lost in its emergence. All food for thought, and
who knows……you and I could be rubbing shoulders with some
ETs in human bodies right now and we wouldn’t even know it.
